Loose or Poor Quality Fillings, Crowns or Bridges

If you have any restorative work that needs to be done we do advise that your dentist carries this out. Your teeth should be in good condition prior to orthodontic treatment and it is important to remove any infection and have a stable mouth.

If you have any poor quality fillings or crowns and bridges that keep coming off or are loose, you should also have these remedied beforehand. This is because they may become dislodged whilst fitting and removing your braces.

Important components of the braces may be connected to these teeth and it may disrupt treatment if they were to come out.

In most cases, it should be very easy for your dentist to address such problems.
