We provide various options for treatment depending on your unique and individual dental problem you may have.
At your consultation, our Specialist Orthodontist will seek to understand your concerns, issues and also your goals and vision for your final outcome so we can create a unique plan to meet your expectations.
Here at Elite Orthodontics, we recommend that children should have an orthodontic opinion at around the age of 8.
Our specialist orthodontists can detect many developing problems at this age. Occasionally treatment is necessary before the eruption of all permanent teeth in order to prevent potential problems or to avoid the need for or at least simplify future treatment. If left untreated, crooked teeth could lead to an improper bite, tooth wear, tooth injury and even tooth decay and gum disease. Crooked teeth can also lead to a decrease in one’s personal self-confidence.
Treatment by our specialist orthodontists to correct the original problem is often less costly than the additional dental care required to treat more serious problems that can develop in later years.
This does not mean that all children need treatment at this age, but it does allow your orthodontist to determine whether your child could benefit from early intervention with quite simple and relatively brief treatment.
Please remember, however, that orthodontic treatment is not only limited to children and adolescents, and many of our patients are adults. At Elite Orthodontics we aim to give our adult patients beautiful smiles and healthy, well-functioning teeth.
Some of our adult patients are referred by another dentist so that we re-arrange the position of teeth before other dental work is carried out. This often results in much better outcomes and easier, less costly, and more effective treatment by the other dentist.
Other adult patients have had treatment in the past which didn’t work or which has relapsed, and our specialists at Elite Orthodontics are delighted to help these patients restore their smiles and their confidence in their appearance.
